We're Lesley & Orion, a 30-something couple passionate about good food & drinks, travel, and adventure. Lesley is a UK native and lover of all things fashion and interiors. Orion was born and raised on the West Coast of Canada and is an island boy at heart. We have two beautiful kids, Kingston (8) and Luna (6), and feel lucky to call this slice of West Coast heaven home.
Since 2014 we've hosted over 5,800 reservations through Coast & Host Vacation Rentals. Our goal is simple: make your stay unforgettable, because at the end of the day, all that matters are the memories you make.

River tubing
The best thing to do around here. Drift down the Cowichan River through gentle currents and the occasional rapid, surrounded by forest the whole way.

- Launch from the popular spot near the town of Lake Cowichan and float downstream from there.
- Duration
- 2–3 hours, covering about 7 km (4.3 mi).
- Tip
- Check out Tube Shack for rentals and shuttle. Watch their 'How to Tube' video before arriving to streamline check-in.
